The return of the Island Supply Trade Show in Grand Cayman was a spectacular success, as dozens of vendors promoted their products to hundreds of enthusiastic customers on October 30 and 31 in the Governor’s Ballroom at the Westin Grand Cayman Resort & Spa.
“The turnout was beyond our expectations”, according to Ian Givens (VP, Island Supply Florida). “It was a fabulous return for the show. The vendors were thrilled with the response and the guests were very happy with the resources and the experience we provided for them. It is a truly unique event that reflects the singular vision and approach that Island Supply brings to the Grand Cayman hospitality industry.”
Attendance at the show was exceptional, as representatives from local hotels, restaurants, bars, condos and offices came out to discover new items and special offers on the show floor. The participating vendors shared a range of products across the entire spectrum of foodservice.
Customers enjoyed samples from Bush Brothers. Parpan Breads, Maui Foods, Pacific Coast Seafood, Sunny Morning, Tropeka, Fever-Tree and other food and beverage vendors. Manufacturers including True, Rational, Vivreau, CMA Dishmachines, Venancio and Unox offered product information, displays and demonstrations, allowing customers to research the latest in foodservice equipment. Booths from Sunburst, NCL, Essendant and others provided cleaning, paper and janitorial supplies to cover the needs of any hospitality setting. Tuuci and Grosfillex presented furnishings especially suited to the island environment. Companies such as Plastifar, Green Light Paper, Eco-Products, Verterra and more offered sustainable solutions that offer both economic and environmental benefits.
An additional highlight was the Vendor Welcome Reception, held after the first day of the show at the Cracked Conch, a locally-beloved oceanside restaurant. Vendors were treated to world-class cuisine and tropical drinks, live music and a beautiful Grand Cayman waterfront view at this exceptional location. Chef Muthu, GM Matt Moore, and the entire Cracked Conch team created an absolutely extraordinary evening for the guests, which served as a perfect celebration of the sensational opening day of the Show.
